Writer, Researcher, and Educator living in Austin, Texas
I am a writer, researcher, and educator with a doctorate in English and a life-long committment to fostering creative and academic communities. My writing and research focus largely on the Medieval and Early Modern periods, and I have special expertise in translation and adaptation studies, women and gender studies, rare book history, and the history of rheotric and composition. I am particularly passionate about public outreach endeavors, and I strive to support efforts to broaden scholarly accessibility.
Currently, I work as digitization library assistant at the Dolph Briscoe Center of American History and as writing assessment specialist for the OnRamps program, both at the University of Texas at Austin. I have six years of experience in education and have taught thirteen sections of upper- and lower-level undergraduate courses, and I have experience working with middle- and high-school students in educational workshops. I have served as project manager for the Center of Digital Humanities Research at TAMU and as editorial fellow for the World Shakespeare Bibliography.
